Poseidon Poles & Flags is an Australian, family owned and operated business that has been in business since 1980. Poseidon Poles & Flags can provide all your flagpole and flag requirements. We provide only top quality flags and poles at the very best prices.
All flagpoles are made from marine-grade Australian aluminium in our Brookvale based factory in Sydney’s beautiful Northern beaches. We deliver flagpoles and flags nationally, with free delivery on all flags. We pass delivery costs for poles on at cost. We also offer a full flagpole installation service across the Sydney area.
We only work with renowned, well established, flag manufacturers, who we personally vet, to ensure that the flags we supply are top quality and are made to stringent Australian standards. We employ Australian-based hand-sewers to finish our flags and ensure they are of the finest quality. Our fully sewn flags are all hand-sewn in Australia.
Bespoke requirements are our specialty – if it’s pole shaped or flag shaped, we can make it for you. Please don’t hesitate to give us a call or drop us a line with the craziest of requests. We love a challenge.
We offer full flag and flagpole servicing across Sydney, and can fix any issues with flag poles, including re-stringing for both internal and external halyards, reattaching flags, or fixing broken flagpoles.
We can also help with art-working and design – again, please just give us a call.
At Poseidon poles and flags we pride ourselves on achieving 100% customer satisfaction. Our business thrives on recommendations – if you haven’t ordered from us before, please test our promise and if you are not 100% satisfied, we will refund your money.
He also has a boat mast business, and what he doesn’t know about really big poles isn’t worth knowing. A keen sailor and a father to an active 5 year old boy, Roly is often found sailing around the northern beaches.
She went into business with Roly when he decided to diversify his boat mast and rigging business into flagpoles and flags. Claire admits to not knowing a thing about flags or poles when she started in this business but that quickly changed. When not updating the website or writing interesting articles about flags, Claire is a busy mum of 2 children and is generally found around playgrounds and sportsfields with a pram in one hand and a coffee in the other.
Moved to Australia in the late 1950’s and is a qualified engineer. He also happens to be Roly’s Dad. An avid skier, he also loves sailing and welding poles. Which is very fortunate as that takes up a large part of his day.
Hand-finishes all our sewn flags. She’s been sewing flags for over 40 years and her workmanship is second to none.
Rosemary knows everything there is to do with money and accounts and rules the financial roost.
Poseidon poles and flags was originally founded by Roy Potter in 1988. A keen vexillologist, Roy set up the business after a successful 20 years as a councillor. He named it Potter Poles and Able Flags and grew the business over a period of 30 years.
In 2018, Roy decided to retire and sold the business to Roly. The business was rebranded as Poseidon Poles and Flags shortly after, but the outstanding reputation Roy had earned has remained.
